Day 10 -12: Friday 17 May 2013 - Sunday 19 May 2013 (Weekend Blog)

Close monitoring of AdGroup's adwords.

CPC's changed where necessary-- following recommended bids. In other instances, looking at the bidding options of keywords and increasing according to the estimated clicks and impressions.

Broad match keywords deleted.

Positive change happening in the corporate AdGroup-- "car hire matric dance" has attracted a CTR of 4.60% after being implemented only 5 days ago. It has been further raised to $1.04 today to try and attract more clicks.

This shows us that we have found a new selling point which Blunden's luxury transport angle did not consider. The "corporate transport" keyword attracted only 18 impressions, and thus we lowered the keyword bid back down to the standard $0.60.

We think that a luxury/chauffeur/matric dance selling point could be adopted by Blunden for Eastern Cape dances/events. In this way their luxury vehicles, which did not sell well as corporate vehicles, could be re-appropriated and marketed as luxury chauffeured vehicles for events.

"Sedan Hire" proves to be a popular keyword in terms of impressions, but has attracted no clicks. Thus, the bid will be raised for this keyword for a few days. Also, I have amended the Ad to use the make of the car and the luxury angle as selling points, including the features such as CD player and air-con, instead of the corporate chauffeur angle.

** we will have to contact our company and inquire if this is a viable change? Would they be OK with using the executive chauffeur vehicles for other events? We might be marketing a selling point they are not interested in.
